Oceanex Surcharge temporary surcharge - Marine Protection Surcharge 3.5% effective immediately
Dear Valued Customers, Please find below from Oceanex, effective immediately a Marine Protection Surcharge, temporary surcharge based on unusual increase in the presence of North Atlantic right whales in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The Government of Canada has imposed a temporary speed limit in the St. Lawrence River and the Gulf of St. Lawrence where Oceanex vessels. Clarke Transport is passing on this cost to our valued customers would be a reflection of 3.5%. This surcharge will be a separate line item on your invoice identified as OSC (Oceanex Surcharge). Clarke Transport is taking delivery of 100 new 53' heated containers. These units replace existing units which are being retired, and add additional capacity. The 264 unit heated fleet has an average age of 2.9 years, one of the newest and largest fleets in the industry. This allows us to provide consistent heated service in the coming winter season and beyond.
