Rail Disruption Memo
We would like to bring to your attention a situation that could temporarily impact all domestic
rail service in the near future. As you may have heard, both Canadian National (CN) and
Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Railways are in labour negotiations with the Teamsters
Canada Rail Conference. (TCRC) While the negotiations are still on going, a work stoppage is a
very real possibility.

Carbon Surcharge 2024
Please note that as part of the Climate Change Plan aimed at reducing greenhouse gas
emissions and mitigating the effects of climate change, the Federal Government of Canada is
increasing the tax on carbon emissions effective April 1st, 2024.
