On December 1, 2011 Clarke Road Transport Inc. (“Clarke Road”), Clarke’s wholly-owned Halifax-based full-load transportation business acquired all of the operating assets of Select Transport Incorporated. This strategic acquisition expands our service offering into the area of refrigerated transport. It will allow us to better service our existing customers and expand our client base. Further, it will allow Clarke to improve its efficiency by maximizing our equipment utilization. The Clarke management team is extremely excited by the opportunity this acquisition provides.
This acquisition allows Clarke Road Transport Inc. to provide LTL and TL refrigerated services to all of its clients. Combined with existing Truckload and over dimensional flatbed operation, Clarke refrigerated services division further expands its capacity to provide transportation solutions in Canada and North America.
